Really solid album. Grows on you. We'll definitely be playing some of these at Awake. (****)
Very Merry Christmas
Dave Barnes: Very Merry Christmas
Awesome album! Jazzy guitars, smooth, fun. Get it! (****)
Fee: Hope Rising
Fee does it again. Solid album with some great worship songs. Glory to God is an early stand out song that I'm sure we'll be doing at Awake very soon. (*****)
Church Music
David Crowder Band: Church Music
Great album by DCB. I love the 80's rock on God Almighty, None Compares. Solid. A must have. (*****)

George W. Bush: Decision Points
Great read. (Actual, great listen, I got the audio book) I got the unabridged version. The reader was great, by the end I forgot it wasn't Bush himself. (****)
Mark Oestreicher: Youth Ministry 3.0: A Manifesto of Where We've Been, Where We Are & Where We Need to Go
I loved this book. Quick easy read that really breaks down today's youth culture well. Youth ministry is changing. Great read for people trying to figure out to say about what they see with teens today. (****)
David Kinnaman: unChristian: What a New Generation Really Thinks about Christianity... and Why It Matters
Good book with some sobering statistics and perspective from outside the walls of the Church. A must read for church leaders thinking about the future of the church and the generations that will be leading it. (****)
William P. Young: The Shack
Laura and I listened to the audio book. It was a good read. It challenged me to think about God and the Trinity in new ways. Didn't agree with 100% of it but all good books are like that. Eat the meat, spit out the bones. It's definitely worth a read. (****)
Gene Edwards: A Tale of three Kings: A Study in Brokenness
I loved this book. It might be the most significant book I've read in the last three years. Buy it today. I read it in a day and I'm still digesting it. (*****)
Philip Yancey: The Jesus I Never Knew
I'm re-reading this one to get ready for next year. We are going to teach Jesus all year. (****)
Seth Godin: Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us
Great Book. You can get the audio copy for free at http://is.gd/4v6t
Thom S. Rainer: Simple Church: Returning to God's Process for Making Disciples
I really like Rainer and I really like simple. (***)
Tim Stevens: Pop Goes the Church: Should the Church Engage Pop Culture?
I'm only half way through it. It got destroyed on my Panama trip but another copy is on its way. (***)
Todd Hopkins: The Janitor: How an Unexpected Friendship Transformed a CEO and His Company
We are reading this in the men's ministry. It's a great book and a quick read. I'm almost finished. (****)
